The Leader of Team Obidient General Worldwide, Hon. Ikenna Azomchine, popularly known as the Obidient General, has once again reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing strong confidence that the President would secure what he described as a “sell-through” victory in the January 16th presidential election.
Azomchine made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, at his residence in Plateau State, where he was accompanied by one of his close allies and APC stalwart, Bala.
A short video from the visit, which has since gone viral on social media, showed the Obidient General introducing himself and restating his loyalty to the ruling party and to President Tinubu.
According to him, his decision to publicly identify with the APC leadership was informed by what he described as the visible achievements of the present administration, as well as his conviction that continuity would further accelerate the reforms already underway.
“Obidient General is here. I have seen the successes. Rhetorics will not solve the problem,” he stated in the short video.
The former supporter of Peter Obi, who has in recent months become one of the vocal advocates of President Tinubu’s re-election bid, also urged members of the Obidient Movement to move beyond political sentiments and focus on what he described as the realities on the ground.
“I am pleased to be part of the family, and I’m confident that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will have a sell-through in the 2027 general election. I urge all Obidients to stop the rhetorics,” he declared.
The latest development comes barely weeks after Azomchine and members of Team Obidient General Worldwide concluded a series of mobilisation programmes in different geographical zones and higher institutions across the country, where the group inaugurated its structure, sensitised youths on voter participation, and intensified campaigns for the re-election of President Tinubu.
During the engagements, Azomchine had argued that the administration deserved another term to consolidate ongoing reforms in infrastructure, governance, economic development and security.
He had also maintained that many members of the Obidient Movement were gradually aligning with the President after witnessing what he described as the administration’s commitment to national development.
Beyond political mobilisation, the group had also consistently encouraged young Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), participate actively in elections and become more involved in civic engagements and leadership development initiatives.
The latest visit to the APC National Chairman is also believed to be part of the broader efforts by Team Obidient General Worldwide, led by Hon. Azomchine, to deepen its nationwide network and strengthen collaborations with political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
