Under the auspices of Okolo N’eche Obodo Awka (Awka Youth Council), the youths of Awka, the state capital of Anambra, have detained a guy who is suspected of consuming his children’s blood after marking them.
The arrest allegedly took place at Umukwa village, Awka, on Wednesday, May 21 where the suspect was said to be residing with his children.
Although, the entire identify of the suspect us still to be ascertained, he is reported to be popularly known as Fire Fire, and belongs from Nkanu in Enugu State.
The Awka Youths Council claimed in a statement released on Wednesday that the suspect was allegedly marking his children’s heads and licking the blood that oozes from them for evil intentions, even if the specifics of the crime are still unclear.
“On the morning of May 21, 2025, the Okolo N’eche Obodo Awka (Awka Youth Council) apprehended a male suspect accused of cutting his children’s heads and consuming their blood,” the statement partly read.
The captured suspect and several of his children, whom he had previously marked and tasted their blood, were seen in a video that is currently spreading on social media, which further supported this.
The video also shows the suspect’s blood-stained lips and many charms that were found on him. Additionally, he had to untie everyone he had tied in some of the charms he had collected.
Comrade Ikechukwu Philip Ezenwa (Ogwali na Ogwali), the Chairman of Okolo N’eche Obodo Awka, responded to the video by strongly denouncing the act. He emphasized that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is fighting hard against criminal idolatry and evil diabolism in the state, but many people mistakenly believe that this is a fight against culture.
The chairman of the Awka Youths Council praised the young people for their hard work and stated that the suspect would be turned over to Operation Udo Ga-Achi for appropriate investigations and further required measures.
However, the suspect was shown on camera begging for mercy while stating that he was acting in that way to benefit himself.
