The State Youth Leader of All Progressive Congress, APC, Hon Jideofor Ejimofor, on Wednesday, described the Prof Chukwuma Soludo led APGA administration as a shadow of its former glory.
According to Hon Jideofor, APGA as a party has outlived its usefulness in the state, therefore should vacate the government house in 2025 having performed below expectations in the past couple of years.
He stated that in Anambra state today, people sleep with one eye open at night over insecurity and the fear of unknown. He also lamented lack of meaningful infrastructural development is on ground, yet the governor and his appointees go about attacking the people they were elected to serve.
According to him, “Nnewi and Onitsha commercial cities are death traps. No roads. Taxation is on the increase. Proliffication of all kinds illegal weapons and criminals extorting money from both traders, visitors and motorists has become a norm, yet no hope in sight to address and put all these to a stop, instead the governor is preparing for imaginary second tenure.
“In December 2022 Governor Soludo called on Anambrarians in diaspora to think home and a popular radio station presenter with the Catholic Church owned Radio Sapiensa, Mr Ifeanyi Hugeman countered him and advised Anambra people abroad to remain in their various locations because the state is not safe. The same Christian Aburime (Governor’s Chief Press Secretary) was sent to start making unguarded statements against Ifeanyi Hugeman yet, up till now the problem of insecurity and bad governance have not been addressed in the state.
“This is a clueless, visionless and inconsistent government that doesn’t know it’s left from right. The only thing the governor of Anambra state is known for is dishing out grammer and irrelevant English vocabulary on television and radio stations to cover tracks of none performance and ineptitude.
“Where are the majority of APGA leaders and stakeholders like Senator Victor Umeh, Chinedu Obidigwe, Her Excellency Iyom Bianca Ojukwu, former Governor Obiano and his wife, Uzuegbunam Okagbue, and uncountable others that worked to bring Soludo to power? of course they have all deserted Soludo ‘s government over lack of trust, none performance and cluelessness.
“Where was Governor Soludo’s acclaimed political clout when Senator Ifeanyi Uba defeated him in Anambra south senatorial election twice both in 2019 and 2023.
“Soludo’s government is jittery and panicking since Senator Ifeanyi Uba and other progressive minded leaders of Anambra switched over and are still moving to APC in droves because it is obvious that his days in office are numbered.
He ridiculed the governor over his “if not broken, why mend” it statement which he described as a game plan to curry favour from the former governor.
“The other day soludo ‘s government officials descended on GUO transport company driver and nearly killed him for no just reason and up till now ,the governor has not deemed it necessary to apologize to the company and ndi Anambra publicly.

“In 2023 presidential election, Governor Soludo was rooting for Atiku Abukakar of PDP for presidency with an illusive promise of handing over power to him at the end of Atiku’s expected one tenure of office as promised him and since that mission backfired, the governor of Anambra state and his boys have been running from pillar to post trying to penetrate APC and president Tinubu’s men. Is it not better for Soludo to pick his clothes where he hanged them during presidential election of 2023?
“You have performed bellow average, you have inflicted pains and sorrow, you are an epitome of deceit and insincerity, you have discovered the difference between boardroom / class room management and active governance, so why not honorably leave in peace without allowing yourself to be disgraced out?
“Soludo should leave Anambra state alone and face his litany of woes and self inflicted problems”, he added.
