The Legacy football Club of Ilorin has lifted the trophy of the Amana football championship with three- goals- to -one (3-1) victory over Eagles Star football Club of Ilorin.
The special guest of honour whose community track records of service made the Amana Ajikobi Ward Youths in Sports to organise the competition, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman commended the 16 football Clubs that participated in the two months football fiesta.
While commending the Kwara State Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak, CON, for the development of sports infrastructures within the Stadium Complex he promised to build on the existing achievements in all spheres of sporting events.
Professor Sulaiman who received a loud ovation from spectators including members of the supporters of the Kwara United FC said he will make the football championship an annual
event.
The representative of the Kwara state Governor, who is the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, Bola Magaji gave Kudos to Professor Sulaiman for supporting the growth of the round leather game.
