The Edo State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Benin, on Friday sacked Destiny Enabulele of the People’s Democratic Party and declared the APC candidate, Sunday Aghedo, as the winner of the election.
Enabulele of the PDP was declared winner of the Ovia South West constituency election by the Independent National Electoral Commission on March 15.
Aghedo and the APC had dragged Enabulele and the PDP before the tribunal, challenging the declaration of Enabulele as the winner of the election by INEC.

The tribunal held that the petitioners, Aghedo and his party were able to prove their cases beyond reasonable doubt to earn victory.
They claimed that the election was marred by irregularities, malpractices and non-compliance with the Electoral Act amongst others.
