Liberia’s President George Weah and one of his adversary Joseph Boakai, are in a dead heat in the electoral race for the presidency following a October 10 election in Liberia.
The opposition leaders Boakai, holds a narrow advantage at 43.70% of the votes, while Weah has 43.65%, according to tallied results announced by the West African Nation’s election commission.

As at Sunday, the commission has announced results from 4,295 polling units out of the 5,890 polling units in the country.
Following these announcements announcement West African Nation’s Election Commission has issued strong warning against declaration of ‘premature’ triumph.
To elude a tie breaker or follow up election, the victor must ibtain more than 50% of votes cast.
