The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the owner of Great Leaders International School in Agbor-Obi, for allegedly defiling a four-year-old female pupil of the school.

The state Police spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, in a whatsapp chat with Ekwe Anaedo said the suspect is in police custody and assured that the command will carry out a thorough investigation.

Responding to rumours that the suspects lawyer is pressurizing the mother of the four year old to accept money to discontinue the case, Edafe said, “we should avoid settlement because these days parents especially from rural areas go behind the police and collect money from suspects thereby making prosecution very difficult.”
