Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to healthcare and education by donating ₦10 million to the proposed Holy Rosary School of Nursing and Midwifery in Mbaise, Imo State. The institution is set to commence operations in September 2025.
During his visit, Obi emphasized that national development must be built on key pillars such as healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation. He highlighted the importance of well-trained professionals in strengthening the healthcare system and assured the institution of his continued support.
In furtherance of his advocacy for quality healthcare, he also visited Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing in Ihiala, Anambra State, where he made an additional ₦10 million donation to aid their ongoing efforts in providing essential medical training.
Obi reiterated the need for strategic investment in human capital development, stressing that such contributions are crucial for national progress. He pledged to keep supporting institutions that foster a healthier and more educated society.
