Following an uproar that shook the internet in the early hours of today, when Mtn users took to social media to express excitement over disappearance of all airtime debt, Mtn has come out to clear the air.
The network operators released an official statement on their X platform to clear the air, they announced that the supposed debt clearance is as a result of a system glitch and that once the issues are resolved all balances will return to normal.
Their statement read, “Mtn Nigeria communications plc can a confirm a system glitch impacting balance enquiries. As a result, some customers may receive error messages showing that their balance has been cleared. This is not the case and all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved.
Our engineers are currently working to ensure this.
