A hotel Protea located in Owerri Imo state has come under attack for the treatment meted out on its customers.
A video is currently circulating of stranded customers who had made reservations for rooms months ahead only to be disappointed by the hotel management .
According to the video, old students of Federal Government Girls College had booked for rooms ahead of their re-union program, unfortunately when they arrive the hotel , they were told that they have given out all their rooms to politicians a development that did not go down well with the guest.
Recall that few days ago this medium reported that the state government paid every hotel in Imo state for all their rooms ahead of governorship election next weekend.
A staff of the hotel who does not want her name mentioned faulted the management of the hotel for failing to inform the Old girls Association of the latest development.
She said ” since our oga’s could not turn down the state government ‘s request for some obvious reasons, they should have informed the Old Girls Association so they can make alternative plans”
When asked how the matter was resolved, she said, the Old girls were refunded their with apologies but with government take over of all the hotels in the state it’s hard to know how they will secure another facility for their programme.
