A sudden fire has razed the SAMSUNG office located at the popular Banex Plaza, the commercial hub of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), along the Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse II, Abuja.
Ekweanaedo News is yet to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak, whose video has gone viral, as of the time of filing this report.
As of press time, our correspondent confirmed that men of the FCT Fire Service were already on the ground in an attempt to contain the fire.
“Yes, it’s true. Our men are already on the ground,” the Head of Operations of the FCT Fire Service, Abiola Adebayo, told our correspondent.
“They didn’t allow us to go and fight the fire, until we called policemen. So, when the police came now, they were able to attack the fire, they have not finished. The fire is still burning. FCT and Federal Fire Service are battling the fire now,” he said.
It was also gathered that the fire extended to a filling station located near the building.
The incident has caused panic in the area.
