Reactions are still pouring on the statement by a Muslim cleric Ahmed Gumi wondering why President Bola Tinubu should appoint a non-muslim as the minister of FCT. The latest reaction is coming from an ex-militant Asari Dokubu who is a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu.
In a video he posted on TikTok Dokubo condemned Gumi statement and president Tinubu’s one-sided appointment since he became president
‘All of you know that I was one of the people who gave tough times to Nyesom Wike as governor of Rivers state, he said. Continuing he said, But Abuja does not belong to Gumi, it does not belong to the North and it does not belong to Muslims, that is the truth of the matter and we must say the truth clearly.’
The visibly angry Bayelsa Indigene said Abuja was built with money from the oil producing states and therefore the north or any other region cannot lay claim to it.
Not done yet, Dokubo, called on President Tinubu to stop appointing only people from the South West into his government as his recent appointments have shown.
He called on Nigerians to speak out on the one-sided appointment reminding the president that he is the president of Nigerians not President of the Southwest.
