The Governor of Ogun State, has given the seal of approval for the guardianship of the education of the children belonging to the late Director of Finance and Administration in the governor’s office, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi.
Additionally, he directed the immediate release of his entitled gratuity to alleviate the burden of his untimely demise on the family he has left behind.In order to provide a more meaningful existence for the grieving family, he also instructed the Ministry of Housing to promptly allocate one of the affordable homes constructed by his administration to Mrs. Oyekanmi and her children.
He shared these plans during the memorial service held at Ibara Baptist Church to honor the late Oyekanmi.
He said, “Although we understand that no one can truly replace Taiwo, we will diligently strive to alleviate the impact of his departure.
We implore the extended members of his family to kindly support the widow, as these provisions are solely intended for her benefit. This will enable her to adequately care for the children left behind by Mr. Taiwo.
We reiterate our commitment to use all resources at our disposal to bring the culprits of this heinous crime to justice.
In keeping with this pledge, we have announced a reward of N50 million for anyone who can provide valuable information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the act.The late Oyekanmi was a humble, diligent, and hardworking individual. His unwavering reliability and dedication will be sorely missed as we mourn his commendable contributions”.
