The Golden Jubilee Anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Abalaliki was celebrated today with fun fare.
The Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and Wife, Mary-Maudline were among worshippers who thronged St Theresa’s Cathedral to participate in a holy mass to mark the event.
The Governor was particularly elated with the transformation in the Diocese and paid glowing tributes to all the Bishops who had presided over the Diocese.
He reiterated the resolve of his administration to collaborate with churches in his drive to move the State forward.
The Mass was attended by Bishops from other Dioceses , including the Archbishop of Owerri and President of Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Lucius Ugorji
It also featured other side attractions including, cutting off Jubilee Cake.
