The Mayor of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Alphonsus Ofumelu, has today officially flagged off two significant development projects aimed at transforming key areas of the local government.
Demonstrating his unwavering passion for the development of Ayamelum, the Mayor commenced work on two crucial projects simultaneously: the construction of a 1.5-kilometer road in Umerum and the total renovation of the long-dilapidated legislative building located within the Ayamelum Local Government Secretariat.
According to the Mayor, both projects have been fully planned and funded, with a targeted completion timeline of September to October 2025. Contractors have already mobilized to the sites, and work has commenced immediately to ensure the projects are delivered within the stipulated timeframe.
These projects mark another bold step in Hon. Ofumelu’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and improved governance in Ayamelum.
