
The Solution Fun City, Awka buzzed with numerous activities during this year’s celebration of Children’s Day.
Inspection of guard of honour, mounted by the children in his honour, March past, tour of the newly commissioned Fun City in company of the Governor’s wife and children, among others, were used to observe the day.
Delivering the President’s address, Governor Chukwuma Soludo re-echoed President Tinubu’s collaborative efforts against child bullying.
Governor Soludo reassured Anambra children that they are in safe hands, expressing strong commitment to giving Anambra children a future.
The Governor emphasized that children remain the bridge to the future, enunciated by his administration’s free primary and secondary education in the state, pointing out that the Solution Fun city is just demo fun place to introduce the bigger ones that will come in years.
The Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngọzi Chuma-Udeh eulogized the Governor as doing alot, especially in the area of securing the future of Anambra children, while the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo thanked the Governor and wife, noting that it is a collective responsibility to ensure that children grow in an environment where they are appreciated.
Earlier, Speaker of the Children’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Victory Ekwunife, enumerated the strides and legacies of the Governor in all sectors of the state economy, saying that the recent passage of the Anambra State Correctional Services Bill by the State House of Assembly provides a robust legal framework to support the humane and effective management of offenders, including juveniles.
