In a move to steer Heartland Football Club Of Owerri out of troubled waters, the Imo state government has named Mike Idoko aa the club’s new General Manager.
The Owerri based club known as the Naze Millionaires have struggled to make positive impact on their return to the top-flight.
Idoko’s leadership experience is expected to help steer Heartland to safety.
He was spotted with the team during the matchday 24 fixture against Katsina United at the Muhammed Dikko Stadium on Saturday.
His appointment is expected to be finalised before Heartland’s Oriental derby clash with Abia Warriors on Wednesday.
Prior to this role, Idoko has served in administrative capacities with clubs such as Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, and Lobi Stars.
Heartland are currently last on the log with twenty points from twenty four matches with fourteen games left
