Amobi Ogah sharing the Christmas love with constituents
The member representing Isukwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency at the national assembly, Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah has promised to create employment for his constituents and give every person equal opportunity.
Hon Ogah made the promise while distributing Christmas gifts to widows, disabled persons, labour party leaders and others on the eve of Christmas held at his country home, Onuaku Uturu in Isukwuato LGA of Abia State. He gave them bags of rice, wrappers and other items.
He promised not to use his position to intimidate people, but serve them diligently, stressing that his place will continue to be a compound of blessing.
While thanking God for overcoming the huddles at the tribunal, especially with his major opposition claiming to have connections, Hon Amobi also appreciated God for keeping them alive to see another Christmas season.
His words ” I spent over thirty six million naira to procure rice he distributed and twenty-two million cash in addition to the rice and wrapper”.
The federal law maker insisted that his representation does not give room for partisanship in Isukwuato/Umunneochi, saying that he will continue to collaborate with governor Alex Otti and other relevant stakeholders to protect Abians, and provide dividends of democracy.
Items distributed Amobi added that the federal law makers from Abia State will continue to promote peace and unity in Abia, as well as south east region, assured that with time, all agitations threatening the unity of Igbos would be resolved.
He said “the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will happen, but for a matter of time”. Amobi said he did not join politics to make people poor, but to impact in their lives.
He revealed that the Christmas gift has become a ritual for many years now and promised to sustain it. The federal law maker acknowledged that things are tough, therefore, he decided to assist the people the little way he can.
Some of the beneficiaries of the event, including Mrs Monica Okorie, Mr Ikenna among others extolled Hon Amobi for his benevolence, praying God to bless him more.
Others who benefited from the gifts were various security agents, community heads, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Road Transport Workers and others.
