A picture of Pastor Adeboye sitting on Oba’s ‘throne’ has elicited reactions from many Nigerians
Social media users have expressed diverse views on a photo of Pastor Enoch Adeboye in which the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was captured sitting on the throne of the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao.
The Pastor Adeboye was in Orile-Igbon, in Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday for the December “let’s go a fishing” programme of the RCCG.
The renowned clergy paid homage to the palace of Oba Alao, who is Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, before proceeding to Olugbon High School, the venue of the programme.
Speaking shortly after the chopper of Adeboye touched down at the palace, Alao hailed Adeboye for coming to Orile-Igbon and prayed for the continued progress and development of the town.
However, a photo of Pastor Adeboye taken of him sitting on the seat designated for the Oba and shared via a page on Facebook has sparked reactions.
