Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has just given a major boost to state workers by paying their salaries and pensions for December.
This happened in the early hours of Monday, December 11, 2023, just as it was announced earlier.
The governor and his administration made a pledge to pay a 13th-month salary on Workers Day as a way to appreciate the workers for their dedication and to help alleviate the difficulties caused by the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.
The 13th-month salary is scheduled to be paid on December 27th, as previously announced.
