Super Falcons All But Through To WAFCON 2024.

Ahead of it’s second leg match against Cape Verde Female National team today, the Nigeria Football Federation has hailed the mental toughness of the Super Falcons as they close in on securing a 2024 WAFCON ticket.

Having won the first leg 5-0 in Abuja, the Falcon only need a draw or avoid losing by 6-0 to book their 13th WAFCON ticket, a competition Nigeria has won a record nine times.

Two goals each from Uchenna Kanu and Esther Okoronkwo with another goal from Monday Gift saw Nigeria secure the comfortable first leg win at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The Falcons arrived in Cape Verde’s capital, Praia on Sunday morning, and have had two training sessions at the match venue,, on Sunday and Monday evening.

The return leg encounter will begin at 4pm Cape Verde time 6pm Nigeria time on Tuesday.
