Umeh’s desperate desire to emerge senate Minority Whip has crashed beyond repair after 23 of the caucus lawmakers voted Senator Tony Nwoye, The Senator Representing Anambra North Senatorial District, The senator’s are saying that Victor Umeh serial betrayer, therefore is not eligible for any sensitive committee position in 10 Senate.
The Labour Party Caucus, after a meeting during which an agreement was reached for Senator Tony Nwoye to become Senate Minority Whip, Senator Victor Umeh went and leaked the information to the Senate President, in exchange for a position that he was angling for.
By the time they arrived at the floor of the senate to perfect their plans, other LP senators were waiting to vote for Tony Nwoye, but Victor Umeh sneaked out of the Chamber and was making last minute efforts to scuttle Tony’s chances. Before he came back and lied that he was having a running stomach, so decided to ease himself, the opposition senators have already tagged him a betrayer who must not be considered for any sensitive position in the 10th senate.
Expectedly, although the senate leadership does not consider him trustworthy enough for any chairmanship position, he was given Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Housing as compensation for his undercover services. He was however, disappointed because he actually expected a chairmanship position in the 10th senate.
The Peter Obi senators are saying that Senator Victor Umeh’s act of betrayal is legendary. Upon how he got into the senate through the support of Peter Obi but he blackmails and backbites Peter Obi at every opportunity he gets amongst his colleagues in the senate. In fact on one occasion, Senator Okey Ezea warned him to stop the level of bitterness he exhibits about Peter Obi and others in the Nigeria.
Speaking among senators, the embittered Labour Party stakeholders condemned the level of bitterness, envy and jealousy that is guiding Senator Victor Umeh’s relationship with his colleagues and people around him.
