Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has approved the appointment of four new heads for key government parastatals, with one of them also appointed as the Special Adviser on Youth Reformation.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, were announced in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, on Tuesday, July 28th, which also coincides with the Governor’s 66th birthday.
According to the statement, the newly-appointed officials are Dr. Nelson Omenugha, who was appointed Special Adviser on Youth Reformation; Dr. Chizoba Prisca Ezeasor, who will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ASPHCDA); Hon. Chike Anyaonu, who was appointed the Managing Director of the Anambra State Housing Development Corporation; and Mr. Chris Osemedua Molokwu, who was named the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS).
The appointment is believed to be part of ongoing efforts by his administration to reposition strategic institutions for improved service delivery across the state.
The Governor, through the statement, charged the new appointees to deploy their wealth of experience and professional competence in advancing the objectives of their respective offices.
He also urged them to discharge their responsibilities with the highest standards of professionalism, dedication and integrity, while working towards the continued development of Anambra State and the delivery of quality services to the people.
The statement further noted that all the appointments take effect immediately.
