Anambra Commissioner Mefor, Urge Anambra Youths To Change Their Mindset From Quick Rich Syndrome

Anambra State Government has called for all hands to be on deck in the efforts to change the mindset of the youths with regards to get reach quick syndrome bedeviling the youths nowadays.

Addressing Stakeholders in Awka, during a courtesy visit to the Traditional Ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, the Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor said Anambra is known for intelligence, hard work, doggedness and fear of God, saying that a typical Anambra man can put on one shirt and trouser for one year while struggling to make it, regretting that get rich quick syndrome is trending among the youths now, saying that the likes of Professor Kenneth Dike and Ekenedikichukwu did not make their money through yahoo or kidnapping, and harped on the need for the youths to return to the virtues of Ndi Igbo.

Dr Mefor explained that Governor Soludo who was a one time Chairman of Nigeria Monetary Policy for five years, and therefore came prepared to change the fortunes of the state, noted that the Governor has award over 720 kilometres of roads with over 500 kilometres completed, adding that Governor Soludo has done beyond his manifesto because free education, free antenatal and delivery services are not in the manifesto, even as he said that the Governor has turned Awka to state capital.

He urged them to continue to support the Governor the way they have been doing all the while for continued development of the state.

In his speech, Obi Nwosu who expressed happiness for the visit, thanked the Governor for all he is doing for Ndi Anambra and prayed for God to bless the Governor and his cabinet.

In their separate speeches, the Chairman Agulu Awka area of Awka, Chief Ken Ekwenugo and an Ozo Awka member, chief Mike Onwuaso, appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for making all roads in Agulu Awka accessible unlike what it used to be, but advised him to look into the activities of Agunechemba so that they do not sabotage the vision of the Governor that setting up Agunechemba and signing Homeland Security Law, pledging the support of Ndi Awka come November 8, 2025, governorship election.
