…Comrade Oshiomhole Storms Out Of Court.
Following INEC’s submission of BVAS machine evidence to Edo Tribunal on Thursday, 30th January 2025, a PDP witness and Polling Unit Collation Agent in Estako East LGA appeared before the Tribunal on Friday to give evidence of how there was multiple incidents of over voting in favour of APC at his Polling Unit in Etsako East LGA.
He impressed the Tribunal with his lucid and coherent presentation of evidence regarding how the total number of votes cast far exceeded the number of accredited voters in the BVAS Machine, which he identified in court.
Recall that yesterday, INEC under subpoena was forced to deliver BVAS machines used in the 21st September 2024 Governorship Elections in Edo State.
Under cross examination by Counsels to APC and Okpebholo, the witness described with mathematical accuracy how the votes exceeded total number of accredited votes for the polling unit and as a consequence the result ought to have been invalidated by INEC. They were instead collated.
The immediate former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon Omobayo was so thoroughly impressed by the performance of the PDP witness and rushed to give him a pat on the back when the Court went into recess. APC leader Comrade Oshiomole and other chieftains who came to court for the first time, ostensibly out of concern that the PDP had managed to get the BVAS machines admitted in evidence, stormed out of the court in anger at the end of the witnesses damning testimony.
The Tribunal continues sitting in Abuja; with the PDP promising to field more witnesses to prove their case.
