The Imo State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma, extended its compassion and support to the families of 30 deceased officers who gave their lives in the fight against insecurity. In a ceremony held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Police Headquarters in Owerri, the command distributed essential relief items, including bags of rice, a live cow, and monetary gifts.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sirajo Fana, who represented CP Danjuma, assured the widows and families of the fallen officers that their welfare remains a priority for the command, particularly during the festive season. He encouraged the families to stay resilient, emphasizing that the sacrifices of their loved ones would not be forgotten.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Gift Richard Ubi expressed deep gratitude for the thoughtful gesture. She acknowledged the support as not just material aid but a heartfelt recognition of the sacrifices made by the officers and a source of emotional comfort during the Christmas season.
