Iwo Day 2024: Senator Lere Oyewumi Assures Purposeful Representation, Donates 20 Million for Iwo Stadium Facelift

The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, felicitates with the Oluwo of Iwo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rasheed Akanbi Telu I, the Chiefs in Council, and Iwo sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora on the Iwo Day 2024 grand finale celebration. It’s another year of celebrating our existing landmark, our heritage, and an occasion to foster unity, development, progress, and advancement for the indigenes and residents of Iwoland.

Senator Oyewumi expresses warm felicitations to the peace-loving monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Rasheed Akanbi of Iwoland, on this landmark occasion. Akogun Lere Oyewumi opined that since the monarch mounted the throne of his ancestors, he has provided purposeful, courageous, and tenacious leadership to the town and his subjects.

He also commended the Osun State Governor, Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, for his outstanding governance while appreciating MHR Hon. Lukman L&K for giving Iwo town impactful representation and ensuring that developmental strides cut across the federal constituency.

Senator Oyewumi reaffirmed his commitment to progress and development by generously donating the sum of ₦20 million towards the development of Iwo town. The generous donation is a testament to Senator Oyewumi’s dedication to the community and his belief in the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

He stressed that he will also implement developmental projects worth ₦1 billion in the Iwo federal constituency in 2025, aimed at improving the lives of the people of Iwo kingdom.
