It was an atmosphere filled with sounds of celebrations for the champions’ Nzuko-Ora Nnewi football Club who deafed Umuoji Community football Club to emerge the winner in the grand finale of the 2024 Anambra State all communities football tournament at the Awka township stadium earlier today
The Nzuko-Ora Nnewi football Club was a vision of Dr Maduka Atuenyi led executives of Nnewi Apex Body Nzuko-Ora to help the youths of Nnewi harness their skills through the game of football.
Speaking briefly with our correspondent at the State Capital, the president general of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi Dr Maduka Atuenyi expressed undiluted happiness on the success recorded by the youths of Nnewi community and congratulated them for their wonderful performance in the tournament. In his words the boys remained focused and committed exhibiting the true Spirit of Nnewi which was what gave them the victory. He equally ceased the opportunity to thank the Anambra State government for putting up such competition among all the communities which will also help to foster unity and aid rapid development among communities in Anambra.
Recall that Nzuko-Ora Nnewi football Club Battled with 176 communities who participated in the tournament to emerge champions.
Some of the dignitaries from Nnewi North who were on ground to cheer the boys to victory includes Hon.Echezona Anazodo,Mayor Nnewi North, Prince Jude Osumuo Vice Chairman Nzuko-Ora Nnewi and Chief of Staff to the Mayor,Hon.Sir Augustine Ike Hon.Chijioke NwIzugbe leader Nnewi North Congress and host of others.
