This reassurance comes in response to reports of some individuals mobilizing young people to protest over alleged delays in remuneration.

In a statement signed by Comrade Afulike Don Christian, Ph.D., Special Assistant to the ABSIEC Chairman on Communication, Planning & Strategies, the Commission clarified that its Accounts Department has completed necessary arrangements with its lead bank to credit the accounts of affected staff shortly.

ABSIEC urged the public to disregard any misleading information from “mischief makers” who seek to create unnecessary tension, stating that the Commission remains steadfast in upholding the “New Abia mantra,” which ensures that all workers are duly compensated for their services.

The Commission further emphasized its commitment to transparency and accountability, aligning with the values of Governor Alex Otti’s administration, which prioritizes the welfare of workers and citizens alike.
