Comrade Onyenji gave the assurance when the Commissioner of Information, Dr Law Mefor and his Youth Development counterpart, Mr Patrick Agha Mba visited ANAWOOD Film Village in Awka where Anambra youths who are interested in acting are being trained.

Comrade Onyenji explained that the students who are being trained in various aspects of film making free of cost by Governor Chukwuma Soludo will after their training become film makers in Nigeria and that will give Anambra State an organic growth in film industry.

On his part, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Agha Mba said that the ANAWOOD film industry is in line with the one youth two skills initiative of Governor Soludo aimed at raising one thousand youth millionaires annually and massively creating private sector jobs.

In his remarks, Dr Mefor who argued that Nollywood started in Anambra, expressed optimism that the youths being trained in film making will form the nucleus of a new journey that will enable the state not only rediscover its historical essence but also recover the lost glory of its enviable place in film making in Nigeria and urged the students to pursue their dreams with passion in order to achieve it.
