Hon Mrs Ify Obinabo,
Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare has flagged off the commemoration of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence in Awka.
She flagged off the exercise at the ongoing Unite Conference holding in the capital city.
The event is with support from the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) Programme.
This year’s event themed “Unite to End Gender-Based Violence in Anambra State” is a statewide agenda targeted at addressing GBV, positioning it as a leader in advancing gender equity and human rights in Nigeria.
The Unite Conference provides a platform to strengthen collective efforts toward eradicating gender-based violence, promoting gender equality, and building a safer and more inclusive society in the state.
