The Awka City Stadium will be agog this Friday, the 6th day of December 2024 as Anambra club, Solution FC get set to square up against Rovers FC in one of the match day one fixtures of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL).
This is the second adventure for the Solution Boys having finished 7th on the log in an 11-team group last time out to stay afloat in the ‘Most Important League’ in Nigeria’s club football circus.
A lot has changed since then as the Solution Boys has re-jigged their technical crew and equally recruited new playing personnel courtesy of a month long player’s recruitment and screening exercise held in the month of September/October 2024 at the Awka City Stadium which was fine tuned with series of friendly and novelty matches against football clubs who feature in all strata of Nigerian football leagues.
With a new Head Coach, who would be unveiled on Thursday, 5th December 2024 at the Awka City Stadium and the influx of new additions, the Government owned club will be looking to go one better this season with the target being to secure a playoff spot and possibly promotion to the top tier of Nigerian Club football, the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Anambra Warriors are drawn in Group B of the Southern Conference and will play against three Lagos based side, Sporting Lagos FC, First Bank FC, Madiba FC alongside other clubs such as Abakiliki FC, Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri, Godswill Akpabio FC of Uyo, Osun United FC of Osogbo, ABS FC of Ilorin, Rovers FC of Calabar and Gateway FC of Abeokuta.
