The immediate past President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Ken Opara, alongside other prominent figures, will attend the inaugural Imo Day celebration hosted by the Imo Improvement Association in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

According to a recent press statement, other distinguished guests expected at the event include the founder of Chisco Group, Chidi Anyaegbu; the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema; and the Onibeju of Ibeju Land and Chairman of Obas and Chiefs in Ibeju-Lekki, Rasaki Olasunkanmi.

This landmark celebration, the first of its kind by any Igbo community in Ibeju-Lekki, will bring together Imo State indigenes and their families from across the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their vibrant cultural heritage in a colorful display of traditions and festivity.

The keynote speech will be delivered by Uche Agbarakwe, the founder of Allied Vytex Nigeria Limited, setting the tone for a meaningful and engaging event.

The Imo Improvement Association conceived this initiative to provide a platform for Imo natives to relax, celebrate their culture, and build stronger ties with host communities. The celebration aims to foster peace, unity, and socio-economic progress across ethnic groups in Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos State as a whole.
