Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday landed in Maiduguri, Borno State on a courtesy visit over the recent floods that claimed lives, properties and livestock across the state.
A statement posted on X by Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said he arrived in the warm hands of Governor Babagana Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume and other political and government leaders in the state.
Shehu said the former president was away on vacation when the state suffered the recent devastating floods
Around one million people were affected by the devastating flood in Maiduguri in September, with at least 414,000 people displaced and 30 killed.
