Hon. Princess Chinwe Clara Nnabuife, Member Representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, expresses her deep sorrow and concern over the recent tragic events in Nibo, Awka South LGA, during the New Yam festival, which claimed the lives of at least 13 individuals due to a violent cult clash.
Hon. Nnabuife commends Governor Charles Soludo for his swift response, pledging justice for the victims and renewed efforts to eradicate cultism in Anambra State.
She fully supports the Governor’s call for immediate action against those involved in this senseless violence.
“This tragedy is a painful reminder of the urgent need for us as a society to take bold and collective steps to combat cultism. Our youth are the future of Anambra, and we must protect them. Parents, community leaders, and law enforcement must work together to address this menace that is tearing apart our communities,” said Hon. Nnabuife.
She also urges the people of Anambra State to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and united during this difficult time. “We must not allow these unfortunate events to divide us. Let us stand together and work toward a safer, more secure Anambra for all.”
