The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has successfully wrapped up its candidate selection process for the upcoming Local Government Area Chairmanship and Councillorship elections.
Held across the state’s 305 wards within the 27 Local Government Areas, the primaries, which took place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner. This marks a pivotal moment in advancing the party’s “Renewed Hope” agenda for the state’s political development.
Speaking to journalists in Owerri, APC State Chairman Dr. MacDonald Ebere emphasized that the process provided a fair playing field for all aspirants, with no reports of violence.
He noted that the official results were being compiled, which would lead to the emergence of the party’s candidates for the September 21 elections.
