A three-day summit and capacity-building training for community development associations in Kwara State has taken off today in Kwara North Senatorial District.
The training is holding at Bode Saadu, the headquarters of Moro LGA.
The participants from different associations across the five (5) local governments of the districts have started arriving for the highly-anticipated summit which will boost participatory democracy , inclusive and sustainable development at the grassroots level.
According to the organizer, Senior Special Assistant to Kwara Governor on Community Development Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, the team will be moving to Kwara South next before rounding off at Kwara Central later in the week.
Under the initiative, outstanding CBOs selected by an independent panel following verification, will receive grants, awards, and certificates of merit for their projects and impacts across the senatorial districts.
