Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo Celebrates Akwu-Ukwu And Oba Women At Annual August Meeting

The Honourable Member Representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, has extended warm felicitations to the women of Akwu-ukwu and Oba on the occasion of their Annual August Meeting.

Speaking through his constituency aide, Hon. Edozie Maduabum, Hon. Okonkwo acknowledged the vital role women play in society, describing them as the “backbone of every progressive community.” He encouraged the women to continue their excellent work in nurturing their children and contributing to nation-building.

The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to initiating policies that promote women’s development within the constituency.

In response, the Chairperson of Akwu-ukwu Women, Mrs. Julie Obi, expressed gratitude to Hon. Okonkwo for recognizing their efforts, praising him as a man of character who keeps his promises.

Similarly, the Chairperson of Oba Women, Lady Ngozi Onwuka, hailed Hon. Okonkwo as a great leader who has significantly contributed to the growth and progress of Idemili women, thanking him for various women empowerment programs.

Dignitaries in attendance included Mrs. Nkechi Obijekwe (Labour Party Woman Leader), Mrs. Florence Onwuamaeze, Comr. Onyeka Oforkaja, and Cathist Goddy Ezenwa.
