The Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area Barr.Chijioke C. Ozumba has awarded cash prizes to fifty deserving female staff of the Local Government for their August meeting. The award was done in different categories in fulfillment of the promises he made to workers on assumption of duty as the Transition Committee Chairman.
Speaking during the occasion, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hon. Chinedu Omeleke, who represented the Chairman said the award is to encourage workers and to promote productivity at work. He enumerated the various projects being executed by the Chairman in all the communities in the Local Government including the transformation in the Dunukofia Council Headquarters, Ukpo, and assured workers that he will do more if elected into office as the Executive Chairman.
The criteria for selecting winners include, attendance, punctuality, signing in, signing out and productivity.
The incentives came in three different categories of Ten Thousand Naira to twenty three deserving female staff, Seven Thousand Naira to seven females and Five Thousand Naira to twenty females.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the cash prizes, by Hon. Omeleke, to deserving staff, whose joy knew no bounds.
In their appreciation, one of the recipients, Mrs Angela Onwuli, on behalf of other recipients thanked the Chairman for his generosity and promised him of maximum support to his administration and prayed for his emergence as the democratically elected chairman
of Dunukofia Local Government come September 28, 2024.
Other recipients Ugonma Ogbusu, Chukwunonso Offoma and others took turns to thank God for bringing Barr. Ozumba to Dunukofia LGA and praised him for all the good works he is doing especially in the area of workers welfare.
