A manhunt has been launched by the Imo State Police Command to apprehend the suspects responsible for the ambush and murder of four police operatives and a civilian.
The attack, believed to be carried out by members of the proscribed IPOB/ESN, occurred on Irete along the Owerri-Onitsha express road.
Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has deployed tactical units to track down the assailants and bring them to justice.
CP Danjuma has condemned the attack and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
