The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka recently played host to Corps Members serving in the Council Area.
Addressing the Corps Members, Chief Nkwoka urged them to devote their time and energy to those things that would bring about a healthy and secured future, even as he advised them against overindulgence and run away from social vices.
The Council Boss asked the Corps Members to shun acts capable of ruining their future, explaining that overindulgence also known as excessive behavior, often leads to negative consequences.
He emphasized that overindulging in vices like smoking, drinking, or substance abuse can lead to physical, mental, and emotional harm, relationships problems, and decreased productivity.
The number one citizen of Idemili North LGA noted that practicing self-awareness, moderation, and balance can help prevent overindulgence and promote healthier habits.
‘Under my watch, youth restiveness will not be condoned. Inadequate youth engagement has been identified as the main cause of most youth restiveness. It is my considered opinion rooted in in-depth investigation that youth engagement and empowerment programmes will go a long way in reducing significantly the issue of restiveness.
“Youth talents deployed to negative acts will be transformed to positive and beneficial ones both to the individuals and the larger community. Youth will be much involved in the security of the town,’ Nkwoka concluded.
The highly elated Corps Members jointly appreciated the Chief Worker of Idemili North, saying that they were overwhelmed with joy.
