The Anambra State Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi has commended Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo for the progress recorded in environmental sector in the state and urges residents of Anambra State to adhere to environmental laws as the world commemorates 2024 World Environment Day.
Mr. Ezeajughi said, the theme of 2024 World Environment Day which focuses on Land Restoration, Desertification And Drought Resilience under the slogan Our Land, Our Future, is meant to educate people on the dangers of dumping refuge on drainages, highways etc.
He urged all the residents in the state to comply with the environmental laws of the state as well as embrace attitude change and join hands with Anambra State Government to preserve the environment.
He said that, we can easily achieve a livable homeland if we join hands with state government by desisting from dumping refuge on streets, drainages and major highways in the state, adding that, it will end the hazardous impact of environmental challenges in the State.
