Yesterday, The Deputy Speaker Of The House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, led other House of Representatives members to a meeting cum lunch organized by the Impact Investors Foundation in Abuja.
The lunch, tagged “Stakeholders’ Lunch on Developing Legislation on Philanthropy and Impact Investing in Nigeria,” was also attended by Rt. Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo as a House of Representatives Stakeholder.
During the occasion, Hon. Okonkwo commended the foundation for its impact investing in the Nigerian economy. He noted that the Impact Investors Foundation, as a multi-sector collaborative comprising the Ford Foundation, Africa Capital Alliance, Business Day Media, Bank of Industry, and Dalberg Advisors, is well-positioned to add significant value to the country’s development.
The lawmaker further thanked the foundation for its stakeholders’ engagement and looked forward to more collaboration that will unlock private capital for social investments in Idemili North and South Federal Constituency and Nigeria at large.
