….Expresses Readiness To Partner With Genuine Investors



Abia State says it is open to any form of partnership with prospective and genuine investors interested in investing in the state.

Governor Alex Otti who made this known when he received in audience, the President, Advance Global Solutions,(AGS) consortium, Mr Attilio Bianchi, Italy, maintained that his administration is focused on creating the right atmosphere for businesses to thrive.


He told Bianchi who was on a business trip to Abia State that the government has invested so much in infrastructure; security etc, adding that state under his watch will soon be a haven for investors.


The governor thanked his guest for considering the state as a destination for his investment, even as he assured him that the state is willing to open up to new skills, new technology and capital.


“Thank you for considering Abia as a destination for your investment. Abia believes in partnership. No society can develop if it is introverted. We’ve to open up to new skills, new technology and new capital”, he vowed.


According to the governor, of interest to the state is the recycling and converting of plastics, renewable energy and agriculture and that it will be value chain proposed by the investor.


He therefore assured that his government will take a critical look at the proposal with a view to making it work.



Earlier, Mr Attilio Bianchi had said that his consortium which comprises about 20 companies and based in Europe is interested in investing in Nigeria, especially Abia State, adding that if given a chance through formal endorsement, he will contribute to the stimulation of the state’s economy.

Bianchi disclosed that his consortium has interest in specialized areas and will like to partner with Abia State in the areas of sustainable agriculture (green solution), water treatment, renewable energy and recycling of plastics among other areas.



He invited the governor to an economic forum being organized by his consortium in Lagos in September this year.



He said “We concentrate on specialist fields like green solution, blue solution, and water treatment. We’re very strong in this field, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy. It reminds me on how we can approach some funds to finance some project here”.
