Professor Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, has declared a total war with zero tolerance against the illegal activities of touts on the streets throughout the state.

Mr. Solomon Chukwuebuka Onwuemene, the Director of Operations for the Special Anti-Tout Squad (SASA) in Anambra State, revealed this yesterday during a meeting at the State Government House in Awka. The meeting was attended by Pastor Elvis Okolie, the President-General of the Joint Transporters Forum, and his Executive Members, who paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Onwuemene’s office.

Mr. Onwuemene strongly emphasized that no amount of public pressure would make them back down or compromise in their efforts to fulfill their mission for the people of Anambra, as directed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. He highlighted that their main objective was to restore order on the streets across the state.

He expressed gratitude to the Forum for their unwavering support of the Squad’s programs. Despite the sudden visit, he didn’t mind because they were committed to selflessly serving the people of Anambra and humanity as a whole.

The Director assured that his office is fully dedicated to eradicating touts from the state for the benefit of the visiting Forum and all the residents who rely on the roads for their livelihoods.

He also mentioned that Chief Chikodi Anara, the State Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, and Sir Chukwurah Nelson Amaechi, the Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Security matters, have further instructed him and his squad to ensure that the activities of touts in the state are completely eliminated, aligning with the Governor’s vision of creating a comfortable and livable environment for the people of Anambra.

Rest assured, the Joint Transporters Forum can count on the commitment of the Special Anti-Tout Squad in their mission to combat the menace of touts in Anambra State.
