Soludo Praises Late Prof Ben Nwabueze As A Finest Gift To Ndi Anambra

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has paid heartfelt tributes to the late Professor Benjamin Obiefuna Nwabueze, a former Minister of Education and renowned constitutional lawyer who passed away at the age of 94.

Speaking at the funeral ceremony, Governor Soludo expressed his condolences to Nwabueze’s family and the people of Atani-Ogbaru Council area. He emphasized that they were gathered to celebrate the life of “one of the finest gifts to Anambra” and an important figure in African history.

Governor Soludo acknowledged the sadness felt at Nwabueze’s passing but took comfort in the remarkable legacy he left behind. He highlighted Nwabueze’s role as the Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo for an impressive 26 years and his expertise as a constitutional law expert and advocate for Nigeria’s restructuring.

Describing Nwabueze as a dedicated servant of society, Governor Soludo praised his contributions not only to the Igbo people but to all Nigerians and Africans. He urged everyone to be inspired by Nwabueze’s exemplary life.

In conclusion, Governor Soludo expressed optimism that Anambra State would continue to produce individuals like Professor Nwabueze, who would positively contribute to the development of Nigeria and Africa.

Other dignitaries, including Chief Emeka Anyaoku, who referred to Professor Nwabueze as a “Giant Iroko” in the field of constitutional law, and Chief Emmanuel Iwu, also paid their respects at the event.
