ASWD Urges Scrap Dealers To Participate In Identification Enumeration Of Members

In an effort to scrutinize and streamline the activities of unscrupulous scavengers in Abia State, the Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers (ASWD) in the state has called on scrap traders, dump/scrap yard owners to participate in identification and enumeration process which commence on February 5, 2024.

The exercise is in line with the state government’s directive in check mating the activities of some criminal elements in scrap business.

The call was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Okorie Chibuike.

He stayed that due to the low turn out in the identification and enumeration the union has fixed a date for the taskforce which is 20th feb to swing into action.

The Chairman urged the security agencies to help checkmate community in Obehie over the threat of attack to the Abia state government Agencies that are enforcing government policy and directive of scrap and waste dealers in the state.
