Mr. Aboki Danjuma, the Commissioner of Police, Imo State, disclosed that his men are on a manhunt for the gunmen that killed a police officer and two civilians at the Ohii junction, Owerri–Orlu Expressway last Monday.
The spokesperson for the command, ASP Henry Okoye, on Tuesday, disclosed that the command’s arsenals had been set up to ensure the fleeing suspects are arrested. He said that CP Danjuma, had tasked the Heads of the Tactical Units of the Command to ensure the swift arrest and prosecution of the killer squad.
According to him, “the Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, condemns the barbaric attack and senseless acts of violence in totality. “He has deployed the Command’s Tactical Team to go all out in synergy with other sister security agencies and hunt down the hoodlums responsible for the attack and killing of one Police officer and two civilians along Owerri-Orlu road on 29/1/2024.
”While praying for the reposed souls of the deceased, the CP called on well-meaning residents of the State who may have any useful information that may lead to the arrest of the hoodlums responsible for the attack to kindly report at the nearest Police Station or via the Command emergency lines”.
