Super Eagles goalkeeper Christian Nwabili says he is not happy with his performances so far at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast.

Recall that Nwabali, who was in goal against Equatorial Guinea, kept a clean sheet against Ivory Coast.

William Troost-Ekong’s second half penalty gave the Eagles all three points against the host.

“No, I’m not happy. I feel I should be doing more for my country, so I don’t feel it was a great game for me, or how my game usually is,” he told Soccernet.

“I’m happy for the team’s win, but my performance is unlike me. I want to play the ball more, be more confident, and enjoy myself.”

Nwabali kept a clean sheet as Nigeria beat Guinea Bissau 1-0 in their final group game on Monday.

He is expected to be in goal today in the round of 16 match against Cameroun.
