The Minister of State for Youth Development, Hon Ayodele Olawanle, visited the Headquarters Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri, Borno State on January 18, 2024.
During his visit, he expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Military for their sacrifices and commitment in safeguarding the nation’s security and territorial integrity.

Hon Olawanle praised the military, which is predominantly composed of young men and women, for their exemplary coordination and activities that demonstrate unity in diversity.
He emphasized that while most Nigerians sleep with their eyes closed, the military is out there, risking their lives for the peace of the country.
He urged Nigerians to always appreciate and support the military, acknowledging their efforts to enhance combat capability and efficiency.
The Theatre Commander, Maj Gen Gold Chibuisi, expressed his gratitude for the Minister’s motivating visit. He assured that despite the security challenges, the troops would continue their efforts to ensure peace, allowing Nigerians to carry out their daily activities in a secure environment.

Gen Chibuisi highlighted the progress made in tackling security challenges in Borno State, but also emphasized the military’s ongoing operations to eliminate the remnants of terrorists. He thanked the Hon Minister for his visit and reiterated the military’s commitment to engage with stakeholders and rid the North East and other parts of the country of criminals.
The military also expressed their appreciation to the federal government for its strategic guidance and the support of the public in their operations nationwide.
